Tune into the Legislative Session Warm-up Webcast, October 27, 2008 at 10:00am

Exciting news! TECEC has partnered with the Senate Media Service to webcast our Legislative Session Warm-up Training on October 27, 2008 from 10:00 AM – 2:30 PM.

The Legislative Session Warm-Up Training will feature a 2 hour discussion and training on crafting and communicating the early care and education message led by Sessy Nyman, Vice President of Public Policy and Government Relations for Illinois Action for Children. Additionally, the TECEC Co-Chairs, Jason Sabo, Senior Vice President of Public Policy at United Ways of Texas and Sandi Borden, Executive Director of the Texas Elementary Principals and Supervisors Association will present on our Legislative Agenda. Both have extensive knowledge on the early care and education landscape in Texas.

We know many of our partners and advocates across Texas wanted dearly to participate in this event, however the trek to Austin is not always easy. For those of you that could not make it in person, the webcast will allow you to watch the event live from your computer!

The webcast will begin at 10:00 AM on Monday October 27, 2008, and it is available on the Senate Media website: http://www.senate.state.tx.us/bin/live.php. Users must go to channel 8 at the bottom of the Senate Media page.

To view the webcast, users will require the latest RealPlayer software from http://www.real.com/. The free player will be sufficient, and it is available for Mac and PC.

We suggest that if you plan to view the webcast, you try playing an achieved video first to ensure that you have the correct player installed and that there are no complications.
