Four Texas Chambers Pass Pro Pre-K ResolutionsFour Hispanic Texas business associations recently passed resolutions supporting pre-k in Texas. Citing the increasingly competitive global marketplace, the Latino education gap, and the increasing high school dropout rate among African Americans and Latinos, the organizations are calling on "federal and state lawmakers to make early childhood education programs the highest priority."The four groups are, the Texas Association of Mexican-American Chambers of Commerce (TAMACC), the Austin Chapter of the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP), the Corpus Christi Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and the McAllen Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
