January-Election Season is Upon Us!

Election season is in the air! The candidates have announced they are running and the debates over a wide range of important issues have begun. As early childhood education advocates, we have a unique opportunity to ensure that our issues are being discussed and debated as well. With the general election taking place on November 7, 2006 , that gives us 11 months to educate the candidates about the importance of early childhood education and development. The idea is that by January 2007 when the 80th Legislative Session begins, we will have a number of elected representatives that already understand the critical importance of this issue.
