August-Celebrating the Early Childhood Education Workforce!More than 55% of Texas children under age 6 are members of families in which all parents are in the labor force. This statistic demonstrates the need for highly qualified early care and education professionals to meet the needs of Texas’ youngest children while parents are at work. Although this workforce continues to grow, early childhood professionals often do not receive support for and recognition of their hard work on behalf of young children. Create new or join existing community efforts to demonstrate appreciation for early childhood professionals in your area through a wide range of supportive activities. Take time to appreciate this field and contribute to making the professional lives of these dedicated community members easier and more mutually beneficial. Partnerships and collaborations with early childhood professionals are certain to improve the lives and futures of Texas children.
