Do's & Don'ts of Working with Legislators

Organizing a Site Visit for Local Representatives
Inviting legislators to your center is one important way for community leaders to get to know the faces and stories of real children and families that all too often get lost behind statistics and reports. These visits also allow for relationships to be built and for policymakers to see firsthand the critical link between access to quality early childhood programs and parents' ability to work.

Please continue to visit this portion of our website as we bring you new and updated resources on how to set up a site visit and work with your legislators. We hope to be a resource for you as you educate communities about the impact of quality early care and education on both the economy as well as a child's ability to learn and develop so that they can enter school ready to succeed.
